Privacy Policy
Last updated 27 September 2026
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit highwaytozionofficial.com, why it is collected, and what you can do about it. By using this website you accept the practices described in this policy.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Highway To Zion Pty Ltd, a company registered in Australia and based in Victoria ("Highway To Zion", "we", "us").
We do not operate a public email address. If you have a question about this policy, or about information we hold, contact us by direct message on Instagram at @highwaytozionofficial. This is our contact channel for privacy matters and we monitor it for that purpose.
2. Information you give us
There is no account to create on this website, and we do not ask you to register. You only give us information if you choose to:
- Newsletter sign-up. If you subscribe, we collect the email address you enter.
- Messages. If you contact us by email or Instagram direct message, we receive whatever you send.
3. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site collects some technical information as you browse:
- Pages you view and links you click, including which streaming platform links you follow
- How long you spend on a page and how far you scroll
- Your approximate location, derived from your IP address. This is city-level or broader, not a street address
- Your device type, browser, operating system and screen size
- The website or advertisement that referred you here
- Advertising click identifiers attached to links you follow from an advertisement, such as Meta's fbclid and Google's gclid
We use this to understand which songs and pages people find useful, and whether our advertising reaches anyone. We do not use it to try to identify you personally.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses them for analytics, measurement and advertising, as described below. We also use your browser's session storage to avoid counting the same visit twice; that data is cleared when you close the tab and never leaves your device.
These technologies run when you visit the site, and continued use of the site is taken as acceptance of their use as described in this policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use the opt-out tools described in the sections below. Parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
5. Google Analytics and Google advertising features
We use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used. Google sets cookies and receives the information described in section 3.
We have also enabled Google Signals. This means that where a visitor is signed in to a Google account and has turned on Ads Personalisation, Google may provide us with aggregated, de-identified reporting about the age range, gender and interests of our audience, and may associate visit data with that account. We see this only as grouped statistics, never as information about an identifiable person.
You can control this directly with Google:
- Manage your own Google ad settings at myadcenter.google.com
- Opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's browser add-on
6. Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people interact with pages. We want to be plain about what this involves: Clarity records a reconstruction of your visit, including mouse movement, clicks and scrolling, and builds heatmaps from it. Clarity automatically masks text input, and we do not use it to identify anyone. Microsoft's handling of this data is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
7. Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we use Meta's measurement tools, such as the Meta pixel, on this site.
These tools tell Meta when someone visits a page here and when they take certain actions, such as following a link to a streaming platform or subscribing to the newsletter. Where a visitor has a Facebook or Instagram account, Meta may match that activity to it.
We use this to measure our advertising, to understand which advertisements lead people to listen, and to build audiences, such as people who have visited the site or engaged with our posts, so that we can show them further advertising or reach similar people. We do not receive a list of who visited, and we do not use this to identify you personally.
We may use other Meta advertising and measurement features from time to time, and we may use third-party tools that manage our advertising on Meta on our behalf.
Meta acts as a separate data controller for the information it receives, under its own terms at facebook.com/privacy/policy. You can control how Meta uses your information for advertising in your Facebook or Instagram settings, under Ads.
8. Newsletter
Our newsletter is delivered using a third-party email marketing service. Your email address is stored on that provider's systems for that purpose. We use it to send occasional updates about new songs and projects. We do not sell or rent it, and we do not pass it to other artists or advertisers.
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
9. Donations
Donations are processed by PayPal. When you donate you are transacting with PayPal, not with this website. We never see or store your card number, bank details or PayPal password. We may see your name, the amount and the date.
PayPal handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.
10. Who else receives information
We use third-party services to operate this website and our communications, and we may share information with them where a service needs it to do its job. These include, but are not limited to, website hosting, email newsletter delivery, analytics and measurement, advertising platforms, and payment processing.
These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes, except as set out in their own policies. We may change providers from time to time without updating this policy.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
11. Information sent overseas
Several of these providers are based outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. This means information collected through the site may be stored or processed overseas. We choose established providers that publish their own privacy commitments, but once information is held by them it is subject to the laws of the country where it is held.
12. How long we keep it
Analytics data is retained for a limited period set in Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, after which it is deleted or aggregated. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.
13. Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, access to our accounts is restricted, and the providers we use maintain their own security measures. No website can promise perfect security, and we do not claim to.
14. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete information we hold, or stop sending you the newsletter. Send us a direct message on Instagram at @highwaytozionofficial and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally 30 days. Requests about your personal information are treated as a priority, separately from general messages.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
15. Visitors from Europe and the United Kingdom
We are an Australian company and this site is aimed at a general audience. Analytics and advertising technologies run when you visit, and continued use of the site is taken as acceptance of this policy.
16. Children
This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here rather than notified individually.
