These terms apply to your use of highwaytozionofficial.com and to the music, lyrics, recordings and other material made available through it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Highway To Zion Pty Ltd, a company registered in Australia and based in Victoria ("Highway To Zion", "we", "us", "our").
2. What this website is
This website exists to share scripture set to music, to point listeners to where that music can be heard, and to explain how the lyrics are translated. Music is made available through third-party streaming platforms, not downloaded from this site.
We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time without notice.
3. Our intellectual property
Highway To Zion holds exclusive rights to its songs, sound recordings, arrangements, artwork, videos and the content of this website. All rights are reserved.
Scripture itself is not ours. Our lyrics are translations of the Hebrew portion of the Interlinear Bible (Masoretic text). The translation work, musical composition, arrangement and recordings are ours.
4. How you may use our music
The following reflects our standing position. It may be updated, and it does not override the terms of any streaming platform you use.
Church services and gatherings
You may play our songs in church services and gatherings. Because Highway To Zion holds exclusive rights to the music, no CCLI licence is required. We ask that you credit Highway To Zion.
Public events
You may play our songs at public events, provided they are played as released — without altering the lyrics, music or arrangement. We ask that you credit Highway To Zion.
YouTube and video
You may use our songs in videos on your own channel, subject to two things:
- Our songs are licensed and registered, so royalties from your video will flow to Highway To Zion unless your video has been whitelisted by us. You can request whitelisting by direct message on Instagram at @highwaytozionofficial.
- You must credit Highway To Zion and include a link to this website in the video description.
Commercial use, film and media
Any commercial use, including synchronisation in film, television, advertising or other media, requires our permission. Enquiries go to @highwaytozionofficial by direct message.
5. What you may not do
- Sell, license or distribute our recordings as your own, or as part of a product
- Alter the lyrics, music or arrangement of a song, or present an altered version as ours
- Re-upload our recordings as standalone releases on any platform
- Use our name, logo or artwork in a way suggesting endorsement or partnership that does not exist
- Use the site or its content for anything unlawful, or in a way that damages, overloads or interferes with it
- Scrape, copy or systematically extract the content of this site for commercial purposes
6. Donations
Highway To Zion Pty Ltd is not a registered charity and does not have deductible gift recipient status. Donations are not tax-deductible.
Donations are voluntary gifts in support of the work — the production of future songs, keeping music available on platforms, and the visuals and content used to share it. They are not a purchase, and they do not entitle you to any goods, service, membership or right in our music.
Donations are processed by PayPal and are subject to PayPal's own terms. Because donations are gifts rather than purchases, they are generally not refundable. If you have donated in error or believe something has gone wrong, contact us and we will consider the circumstances in good faith.
Please only give if you are able to and feel moved to do so.
7. Merchandise and physical copies
We do not currently sell merchandise, CDs or albums. Nothing on this website is offered for sale. If that changes, these terms will be updated first.
8. Newsletter
You may subscribe to our newsletter with your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. How we handle your address is set out in our Privacy Policy.
9. Other websites and platforms
This site links to streaming services, video platforms, social media and PayPal. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, their availability, or what they do with your information.
10. Availability and accuracy
We try to keep the site running and its content accurate, particularly the translation references. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every link will always work.
11. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a guarantee applies and cannot be excluded, our liability is limited, where the law allows, to supplying the relevant services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
12. Limitation of liability
Subject to section 11, and to the extent permitted by law, Highway To Zion is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss arising from your use of or inability to use this website or its content.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the site collects and why, including our use of analytics and advertising measurement. It forms part of these terms.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site and the work change. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the courts able to hear appeals from them.
